- Updates to VOCDat
- My species are not all available in the species files provided.
- I can't find the latest executable. Where is it?
- My version of VOCDat has expired. What do I need to do?
- How is the sum of PAMS species computed? Why is VOCDat's sum different than I expected?
- I have samples that are invalid and by leaving the concentration blank in my txt file, I get an "AM" qualifier (miscellaneous void) in my R2 file, which is fine. Can I select other qualifier codes (like AA, AB, etc.) in VOCDat, or do I have to manually enter them in the R2 file?
- When I tried to export data into AQS format, I selected method code 128 (which I set as a default) on the pop up window, but when I generate the AQS file, the file contained method code 101 instead. What do I do?

My species are not all available in the species files provided.
You may need to add some species to your current species files. See Section 3.5 of the manual for instructions.
I can't find the latest executable. Where is it?
Click on "Download Latest Executable" listed below the "Download Now" button.
My version of VOCDat has expired. What do I need to do?
Your older version will continue to function, but we recommend that you download the latest executable to keep up to date. Click on "Download Latest Update" to download the latest executable into your VOCDat folder and replace your old VOCDat.exe file. See Section 2.2.2 of the manual.
How is the sum of PAMS species computed? Why is VOCDat's sum different than I expected?
Pamshc is simply the sum of the identified PAMS target species, those
with TRUE in the species.txt file. Ones marked FALSE, don't get added
into the sum. Make sure all the species you want included are marked as
TRUE.
I have samples that are invalid and by leaving the concentration blank in my txt file, I get an "AM" qualifier (miscellaneous void) in my R2 file, which is fine. Can I select other qualifier codes (like AA, AB, etc.) in VOCDat, or do I have to manually enter them in the R2 file?
Within VOCDat, flag the invalid samples with a custom QC code - these then translate into the appropriate qualifier upon export to AQS format. So, if you don't want AM, but wanted AA instead, you customize your QC codes 2-6 to give the ones you would like to use as flags.
When I tried to export data into AQS format, I selected method code 128 (which I set as a default) on the pop up window, but when I generate the AQS file, the file contained method code 101 instead. What do I do?
Check the method code in your species.txt file - this code has priority over the one entered in the pop-up window.
If I have an ASCII file to import, how would VOCDat know the site information required for the AQS transaction output?
Upon import of this file, you are prompted for file header information - you can then enter the site codes, etc., so they are saved with the file.
